In a nutshell...
My aspirations, my passions, my life
|
My name is Annie Mielke. I currently raise two children who are on the autism spectrum. My son, Josiah, has Asperger's Syndrome and my oldest daughter, Jordan, has PDD-NOS. Shortly after Jordan was diagnosed, I attended a program for kids with special needs. The performance included singing, dancing, and an amazing display of drama. Watching those kids sparked the idea for Adventures in Social Drama (ASD), and it has been floating around in my head and growing in my heart for five years. |

I was inspired to develop a program where children who need a little extra tutoring with their social skills could explore their "inner dialogue." I have designed a place for my kids -- and yours -- to have fun, be accepted, learn a little drama, and enhance their social skills in the process. |
